The Clontarf Gardening Society (‘CGS’) was established in 1955. It is one of the oldest gardening societies in Dublin and is affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society of Ireland (RHSI).

The CGS is a community based society, whose main goal is to encourage people to take an active interest in gardening and to provide a forum for the residents of Clontarf and its environs to nurture and share this love of gardening with each other.

The Society holds talks & presentations between September and June (excluding December). These talks, which focus on gardening related topics, are typically presented by an RHSI approved lecturer and take place monthly, on the last Thursday of each month at 8pm in the Parish Centre, behind the Church of Ireland on Seafield Road West, Clontarf.  The presentation is followed by a Q&A session and light refreshments.

New members are always welcome and advice is always on hand for anyone interested in enhancing their knowledge and love of gardening.
